Hi! I'm Camelle Pink, and I can't wait to meet you.

For over 12 years, I've been teaching women how to move with intention instead of force - through barre, clinical Pilates, and dance-based fitness that actually feels good in your body.

Whether you're in Invercargill or anywhere in the world, my classes are designed for real women with real lives who want to feel strong, graceful, and confident without the gym intimidation.

Why Barre & Pilates in Invercargill?

When I left Auckland in 2017 after completing my Master of Dance, my friends kept asking: "Are you going to bring barre to Invercargill?"

The answer was yes.

Because ballet and barre gave me something I didn't know I needed - confidence to move with ease, a deeper understanding of my body, and friendships that have lasted years.

Now, 7+ years later, my barre and Pilates classes remain some of the most sought-after movement options in Southland - both in-studio and online.

From Auckland Studios to Invercargill's Favorite Barre Instructor

My journey into barre fitness started unexpectedly.

When I moved from Invercargill to Auckland to pursue my dance degree, I stumbled into an instructing position at Abundance (City Fitness) in the CBD. It was the perfect intersection of my technical dance training, my belief in the benefits of moving to music, and my desire to help others feel comfortable in their own skin.

I'll be honest - at first, I was skeptical. Barre seemed like it might be another fitness fad.

But it actually worked. (Much to my surprise!)

Across studios and gyms throughout Auckland, I watched diverse groups of people transform through this fusion of ballet technique, yoga flow, Pilates core work, and most importantly - fun.

No punishment. No guilt. Just purposeful movement that made people feel genuinely good.

What I Teach (And Why I Love It)

When I'm not preparing your next barre or Pilates workout, you'll find me teaching:

✔️ Barre Fitness Classes - Small group sessions combining ballet technique with strength work at the barre

✔️ Clinical Pilates - Therapeutic movement for rehabilitation, pelvic floor health, and specific body concerns (private, semi-private, and group sessions)

This combination means I can work with everyone from pregnant women to postpartum recovery, from pelvic floor concerns to general strength building, from complete beginners to advanced movers.

My Approach: Movement Without the Guilt or Grind

Here's what makes my classes different from typical fitness programs:

I don't believe in crushing yourself into submission or proving how tough you are.

I believe in meeting your body where it is - not where you think it should be.

My classes are trauma-informed, anti-diet culture, and designed for women over 30 who are returning to movement after life challenges, injuries, or years of thinking their bodies weren't "good enough" for fitness.

You won't find before/after photos or transformation challenges here.

You will find expert instruction, modifications for every fitness level, and a community of women who support each other instead of competing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need dance or ballet experience?

Absolutely not. Most of my clients have never danced before. I'll meet you exactly where you are.

What qualifications do you have?

Master of Dance (with first class honors & distinction), Breathe Education Diploma of Clinical Pilates, The Method NZ's Barre Method training, and The P3 Method for pregnancy, postpartum, and pelvic floor health training.

Can you help with specific issues like back pain or pelvic floor concerns?

Yes - this is exactly what my Clinical Pilates and P3 Method training is for. We can discuss your needs and create a personalized approach.

What if I live outside Invercargill?

My online programs are available anywhere in the world. All you need is internet access and space to move.

I've always wanted to try dance but I'm too old/uncoordinated/unfit - can I still join?

This is exactly who my adult dance classes are for. No experience needed. No age limits. No "perfect body" required. Just show up as you are.
